Mrs. Melissa Medina-Jauregui, Principal
It is with great pride and excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Oak Grove Elementary. It is a true privilege to join such a caring and dedicated school community within North East ISD. Oak Grove has a strong reputation for its caring staff, community involvement, and a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to grow both academically and socially.
I bring with me 23 years of experience in NEISD, having served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and, for the past six years, as an assistant principal. These experiences have deepened my commitment to building strong relationships, leading with purpose, and creating learning environments where every student can thrive.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and later completed my master’s degree in educational leadership at Texas A&M University–San Antonio. My time at both institutions helped shape my passion for education and provided a strong foundation for my work as a leader and lifelong learner.
As both an educator and a parent of children who attend school in NEISD, I believe that strong partnerships between school and home are essential to student achievement. I look forward to connecting with families to listen, learn, and grow together. I am thrilled to begin this new chapter with the Oak Grove community and to work collaboratively to ensure a successful school year for all.
Leading with Heart,
Melissa Medina-Jauregui

Mrs. Kelsey Ross, Assistant Principal
Welcome to Oak Grove Elementary! My name is Kelsey Ross, and I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Oak Grove. I am excited to partner with our students, families, staff, and community to create a positive learning environment where every Panther feels supported, challenged, and inspired to succeed.
I earned both my Bachelor of Science in Education and my Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Texas State University. Before joining Oak Grove, I proudly served in Seguin ISD as a third- and fourth-grade teacher, teaching both self-contained classrooms and departmentalized Math and Reading. I also had the opportunity to serve as a Kindergarten through fifth-grade Instructional Coach, supporting teachers in Math, Reading, and Science. These experiences have strengthened my passion for instructional leadership and helping both students and teachers reach their fullest potential.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my spouse and stepdaughter. I also love staying active by going to the gym and taking on new outdoor adventures whenever I can.
As Assistant Principal, my goal is to ensure every student learns at high levels in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. I believe that meaningful relationships with students, staff, parents, and our community are the foundation of a successful school. By working together, we can help every child grow academically, socially, and emotionally while creating a culture where everyone feels valued and empowered.
I am proud to be an Oak Grove Panther, and I look forward to an incredible year of learning, growth, and success. We are in this together. We are Oak Grove Panthers!
